Werner Bay


Werner Bay (52˚29'00" 131˚28'00" W side of Juan Perez Sd, E side of Moresby I, QCI), Werner Point (52˚30'00" 131˚28'00" N entrance to Werner Bay). Named in 1878 by George Dawson of the Geological Survey of Canada after Abraham Gottlob Werner (1749–1817), an eminent German geologist.
