Wallace Rocks


Wallace Rocks (54˚00'00" 130˚48'00" In Hecate Str, W of Porcher I, SW of Prince Rupert). Named in 1895 for Wallace C Langley (1866–1946), from NS, who enjoyed a varied career as a sea and river capt in the PNW and the Far N. In 1892, at Victoria, he married Louise Elizabeth Brinn (1872–1944), who was born on Saltspring I. Langley was employed for a time by the Canadian Pacific Navigation Co as skipper of the Transfer, a Fraser R sternwheeler, and the Thistle, chartered by the CPN to run...
