Walker Point


Walker Point (51˚55'00" 127˚54'00" N entrance to Burke Channel, Fitz Hugh Sd, SE of Bella Bella). Named in 1793 by Capt George Vancouver, who led a surveying expedition through this area with the ships’ boats while HMS Discovery and Chatham were anchored at Restoration Bay. William Walker was the surgeon aboard HMS Chatham, under Lt Peter Puget.
