Veitch Point


Veitch Point (54˚09'00" 130˚03'00" S side of the Skeena R, W of Port Essington, SE of Prince Rupert), Veitch Rock (Just S of Veitch Point). The point is named after Lt James Richard Veitch (d 1886), who served on the BC coast, 1874–78, as navigating lt of HMS Daring, under Cdr John Hanmer.
