Unkak Cove


Unkak Cove (50˚03'00" 125˚14'00" W side of Quadra I, N of Quathiaski Cove and Campbell R). Unkak is a modification of a Kwakwala word meaning “goose.” The name was adopted from the 1884 Comparative Vocabularies of the Indian Tribes of BC, by William Fraser Tolmie and George Mercer Dawson. Formerly known as Goose Ck.
