Union Cove


Union Cove (49˚20'00" 123˚22'00" SE side of Bowen I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). The cove was given this name in 1907 because it was used jointly by the Cowan and Malkin families, who had summer homes nearby. It was formerly known as Lee’s Landing, after Harry Lee, the original owner of District Lot 1412 at the S end of Bowen I. George Cowan (see Point Cowan), who eventually acquired more than 400 ha in the area, sold a small piece of land to William Malkin around the turn of the century....
