Tucker Bay


Tucker Bay (49˚30'00" 124˚16'00" N side of Lasqueti I, Sabine Channel, Str of Georgia). Named by Capt George Richards of the survey vessel Plumper in 1860 after Benjamin Tucker (1762–1829), secretary to Adm Sir John Jervis, Earl St Vincent. He first served as purser of several RN vessels, but from 1798 on, his career was closely associated with that of the adm.
