Tsehum Harbour


Tsehum Harbour (48˚40'00" 123˚24'00" NE side of Saanich Peninsula, N of Victoria). According to ethnologist William Newcombe, Tseycum First Nation members, who lived on the harbour before moving to their current reserve on Patricia Bay, took their name from a type of clay that was found in the area and used to remove lanolin from mountain goat wool.
