Tremayne Bay


Tremayne Bay (54˚15'00" 130˚24'00" S side of Digby I, just SW of Prince Rupert). Named in 1908 for Dr Henry Ernest Tremayne (1873–1942), who was hired by the GTP as Prince Rupert’s first physician. He was born at Milton, Ont, and married Annie Evelyn Fletcher (1877–1950) at Barrie in 1903 before becoming the medical officer at nearby Metlakatla for the Dept of Indian Affairs in 1906.
