Towry Head


Towry Head (50˚40'00" 125˚31'00" E side of Loughborough Inlet, S end of Cooper Reach, NW of Campbell R), Towry Point (51˚04'00" 126˚54'00" S side of Seymour Inlet, W of Miles Point, N of Queen Charlotte Str and Port McNeill). After Lt Henry Towry Miles Cooper of the Royal Marines, who served in BC 1859–66. Capt George Towry, cdr of HMS Diadem at the 1797 Battle of Cape St Vincent, was apparently an ancestor.
