Tingley Cove


Tingley Cove (53˚41'00" 132˚57'00" S side of Port Louis, W side of Graham I, QCI). The brothers Brydone Lorne “Bert” Tingley (1879–1974) and Elias James Tingley (1881–1964) built a comfortable cabin on this bay in 1910–11 for use while prospecting in the region with their 8-m boat, the Little Johnny. The cabin was later borrowed by the hydrographic service during its 1912–15 survey of Port Louis; in gratitude, the surveyors of CGS Lillooet named the cove after their hosts. The...
