Thorp Point


Thorp Point (50˚35'00" 127˚37'00" S side of Holberg Inlet, SW of Coal Hbr, NW Vancouver I). Soren Thorp (b 1871) and his wife, Christiane (b 1871), were members of the Danish colony that settled and farmed Cape Scott at the NW tip of Vancouver I in the late 1890s. Their daughter Ellen was born there in 1899.
