Theresa Rock


Theresa Rock (53˚53'00" 130˚31'00" Near entrance to Porcher Inlet, S of Prince Rupert). Named for the sealing schooner Theresa (or Teresa, as the name is also recorded), based out of Victoria from about 1887 until the early 1900s. It was owned by P A Babbington in 1894 and commanded by Capt Fred Gilbert. Capts Myers, John Dodd, J J Whiteley, John Steele, J Anderson, A Sighorst, Owen Thomas and Ernest Lorenz also served as the vessel’s skippers.
