Tent Island


Tent Island (48˚56'00" 123˚38'00" Off S end of Kuper I, W of N end of Saltspring I, Gulf Is). This feature, a Penelakut First Nation reserve, was leased to BC for many years as a provincial marine park. The lease was not renewed, however, and while the island, with its beautiful beaches and warm waters for swimming, is still popular with visitors, the Penelakut band must grant permission for camping.
