Tcenakun Point

Tcenakun Point (53˚09'00" 132˚35'00" NW end of Chaatl I, W end of Skidegate Channel, between Graham I and Moresby I, QCI). The name was adopted from an 1897 map drawn by ethnologist Charles Newcombe, who combined versions of two Haida words, tce and nakun, and translated them as “salmon point.” This feature was formerly called Skidegate Point (and is still known locally by that name) but was changed by the hydrographic service in 1946. It is marked by a navigational light.
