Taleomey Narrows


Taleomey Narrows (52˚01'00" 126˚41'00" Near head of S Bentinck Arm, S of Bella Coola), Taleomey River (52˚02'00" 126˚41'00" Flows W into S Bentinck Arm near Taleomey Narrows). Taleomey is a modification of the name of the Talhyumc (or Talyumc) people, a subgroup of the Nuxalk First Nation, who once inhabited S Bentinck Arm (see Tallheo Point).
