Sydney Inlet


Sydney Inlet (49˚26'00" 126˚15'00" NW side of Flores I, NW of Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I), Sydney River (49˚31'00" 126˚18'00" Flows S into the head of Sydney Inlet). RN surveyor George Richards named the inlet in 1861, but the derivation of the name is not known. It has been the site of several fish-processing and mining operations.
