Swanton Bank (54˚12'00" 133˚02'00" Off Cloak Bay, S side of Langara I, off NW end of Graham I, QCI). Linguist and anthropologist John Reed Swanton (1873–1958), from Maine, came to the QCI for a year in 1900–1901 and recorded much of the classic Haida narrative poetry.
