Sturt Bay


Sturt Bay (49˚46'00" 124˚34'00" NE side of Texada I, Malaspina Str, just S of Powell R), Sturt Point (Just N of Sturt Bay). Lt Henry Evelyn Sturt (1841–85), of the Royal Marine Light Infantry, arrived in BC with his wife in 1870 and served with the joint military garrison that occupied San Juan I during the boundary dispute between Britain and the US.
