Stewart Point (50˚35'00" 127˚35'00" E entrance to Coal Hbr, Holberg Inlet, NW end of Vancouver I). John Robertson Stewart received a very early Crown grant in the Quatsino district, dated 1872. He and his partner, W R Meldrum, were wholesale merchants at Victoria, with premises on Wharf St, and had been interested in the harbour adjacent to this point for 10 years.
