Stapleton Point


Stapleton Point (52˚21'00" 128˚22'00" W side of Lake I, Mathieson Channel, NW of Bella Bella). Florence Maria Stapleton (d 1902), daughter of Sir Francis Stapleton, a baronet, married Frederick Seymour in England in 1866 and came back with him to the distant colony of BC, where he was gov (see Seymour Inlet). Seymour died on the job in 1869, and Florence returned home. Formerly known as Hunger Point.
