Spencer Cove


Spencer Cove (50˚30'04" 127˚52'34" N side of Koprino Hbr, Quatsino Sd, NW end of Vancouver I). Stephen Allen Spencer (1829–1911) received a Crown grant for land in this vicinity in 1884. He was born in Connecticut but came W about 1858 and sought gold in the Cariboo before settling at Victoria, where he operated a photographic studio (Oregon Hastings was his partner for several years).
