Sonora Island (50˚22'00" 125˚15'00" N of Quadra I and Campbell R, SE of E Thurlow I), Sonora Point (50˚26'00" 125˚19'00" NW end of Sonora I). Sonora I, Maurelle I and Quadra I were all considered by early explorers to be part of one large feature, originally known as Valdes (or Valdez) I, and did not receive their current names until 1903.
