Skaat Harbour


Skaat Harbour (52˚24'00" 131˚26'00" W side of Burnaby Str, SE side of Moresby I, QCI). Geologist George Mercer Dawson applied this name, a modification of a Haida First Nation word meaning “good hunting place,” to the harbour in 1878. Skaat is also the Haida word for falcon.
