Simpson Point

Simpson Point (48˚21'00" 123˚43'00" E side of Sooke Inlet, opposite Whiffin Spit, S end of Vancouver I). This is an old name, adopted from the 1846 survey by Capt Henry Kellett, but its derivation is uncertain. The feature is known locally as Donaldson Point, after Alexander Donaldson, a former local resident. See also Secretary (Donaldson) I.
