Sharp Passage


Sharp Passage (50˚51'00" 126˚38'00" Between Stackhouse I and N side of Broughton I, Sutlej Channel, entrance to Kingcome Inlet, NE of Port McNeill). William Henry Sharp was the master aboard HMS Sutlej, under Capt Matthew Connolly, on the Pacific Station in 1865–66. Sutlej was the flagship of the station’s cdr-in-chief, Rear Adm John Kingcome. Sharp ended his RN career as a staff capt at Devonport dockyard in 1882.
