Sere Rock (52˚44'00" 129˚17'00" In Turtish Hbr, Borrowman Bay, NW side of Aristazabal I). Francis Sere (1858–1933), born at Sacramento, California, came to Victoria with his family in 1859. His father, John Bernard Sere (1827–1914), a native of France, had worked in S and Central America in the 1840s and then joined the California and Fraser R gold rushes.
