Secretary Point


Secretary Point (50˚57'00" 127˚54'00" N side of Hope I, NE of Bull Hbr, off N end of Vancouver I). After paymaster James Ashby, who was secretary to a number of senior RN officers. Named by Capt George Richards, the RN’s chief hydrographer, in 1864 in association with nearby Ashby Point (qv).
