Saratoga Beach


Saratoga Beach (49˚51'00" 125˚06'00" S of mouth of the Oyster R, between Campbell R and Courtenay, E side of Vancouver I). Named after a resort and trailer park at this location. According to Don and Marj Thexton, the resort’s proprietors in the 1970s, it was named by a Mr Clarkson, one of the owners of this property in the 1930s, after Saratoga, a city in California’s Santa Clara valley.
