Sandy Cove


Sandy Cove (49˚20'00" 123˚14'00" Just E of Point Atkinson, near N entrance to Burrard Inlet, W Vancouver). This feature was officially designated Ettershank Cove in 1929, after pioneer Burrard Inlet pilot Capt William Ettershank (see Ettershank Point), but that name was rescinded in 1949 in favour of Sandy Cove, which had become well established locally.
