San Simon Point


San Simon Point (48˚26'00" 124˚06'00" NW of mouth of the Jordan R, N side of Juan de Fuca Str). Named by Spanish naval officer Manuel Quimper during his 1790 survey of Juan de Fuca Str. St Simon, the patron saint of curriers, sawyers and tanners, was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus.
