Sabine Channel (49˚30'00" 124˚11'00" Between Texada I and Lasqueti I, Str of Georgia). Gen Sir Edward Sabine (1788–1883) was an Irish scientist, explorer, soldier and ornithologist who became a leading expert on terrestrial magnetism.
