Portland Bay


Portland Bay (52˚47'00" 132˚11'00" Between Tasu Sd and Kootenay Inlet, W side of Moresby I, QCI), Portland Island (48˚44'00" 123˚22'00" SE of Saltspring I, NE of Saanich Peninsula, Gulf Is). HMS Portland was the flagship of Rear Adm Fairfax Moresby, cdr-in-chief of the Pacific Station, 1850–53.
