Philliskirk Hill


Philliskirk Hill (53˚16'06" 130˚02'20" E of Grief Point, on the SW side of Banks I). George Philliskirk (b about 1768) was a boatswain’s mate on HMS Discovery when Capt George Vancouver left on his voyage of discovery to the PNW in 1791. He was promoted boatswain of HMS Chatham after several ill crew members were sent home in 1792 on the storeship Daedalus.
