Pearce Point


Pearce Point (54˚03'00" 130˚33'00" W entrance to Refuge Bay, NW side of Porcher I, SW of Prince Rupert). Joseph Whidbey, master of HMS Discovery under Capt George Vancouver, made a long journey with the ship’s boats in 1793 to examine the region around the mouth of the Skeena R and southern Chatham Sd.
