Pattullo Point


Pattullo Point (54˚24'50" 130˚17'39" W side of Tuck Inlet at head of Prince Rupert Hbr). Regional hydrographer Henri Parizeau named this feature in 1927, when Thomas Dufferin “Duff” Pattullo (1873–1956) was still a BC cabinet minister. He would go on to become premier, 1933–41. Born in Ont, Pattullo worked at first as a banker and journalist, then moved to Dawson City in 1897 as secretary to the Yukon’s first commissioner. He later was assistant gold commissioner.
