Passage Island


Passage Island (49˚20'36" 123˚18'20" S end of Queen Charlotte Channel, E entrance to Howe Sd, just NW of Vancouver). The Skxwúmish (Squamish) First Nation name for this 13-ha island is Smismus-sulch, meaning “the waves go over it all the time,” according to Howe Sound historian Doreen Armitage.
