Parry Point


Parry Point (54˚05'00" 130˚09'00" S end of De Horsey I, entrance to Skeena R, SE of Prince Rupert). Rev William Warner Parry (d 1901) was a chaplain and instructor on HMS Malacca, under Capt Radulphus Oldfield, and served on the Pacific Station in 1866–68. He was later chaplain on HMS Defense (1869) and HMS Iron Duke (1878). The point was named by hydrographer Lt Daniel Pender about 1867.
