Parry Island (54˚06'00" 130˚39'00" W of Prescott I, off N end of Porcher I, SW of Prince Rupert). George E Parry pre-empted this island in 1909 and received a Crown grant in 1917. The island was surveyed and named in 1910 by BC land surveyor Hugh Youdall, who did much work in the early 1900s along the line of the GTP and also laid out the townsite of Hazelton.
