Otter Point


Otter Point (48˚21'00" 123˚49'00" N side of Juan de Fuca Str, E of Orveas Bay, SW end of Vancouver I). RN surveying officer Henry Charles Otter (1807–76) was never on the BC coast but gained a reputation (and a promotion) for his Baltic surveys while in command of HMS Alban during the Crimean War.
