Observatory Inlet


Observatory Inlet (55˚15'00" 129˚49'00" N extension of Portland Inlet, N of Prince Rupert). Capt George Vancouver named this body of water in 1793 because he stopped here to check the accuracy of his chronometers and to measure longitude and latitude.
