Nixon Island, Nixon Rock (50˚16'00" 125˚22'00" N side of Kanish Bay, NW Quadra I, E of Discovery Passage, NW of Campbell R). Paymaster Cdr Francis Robert Woodcock Nixon, from Victoria, was killed in action Apr 30, 1941, aged 37. He was aboard the Nerissa, a former Red Cross Line passenger and cargo steamer that was owned by the Bermuda & W Indies Steamship Co and saw service during the war as an RCN troopship.
