Nelson Point


Nelson Point (52˚53'00" 131˚40'00" SE side of Louise I, E of Moresby I, QCI). Named in 1957 for Pete Nelson (d 1908), who staked a number of claims in the Sewell Inlet area in 1907–8 in partnership with Capt James Johnstone, owner of the sloop Pride of the Islands. He was killed by a falling branch while building a cabin. D
