Mussel Bay


Mussel Bay (52˚55'00" 128˚02'00" NE end of Mussel Inlet), Mussel Inlet (52˚54'00" 128˚07'00" NE extension of Sheep Passage, E of Princess Royal I), Mussel River (Flows SW into the head of Mussel Inlet). Mussel Inlet was named by Capt George Vancouver in 1793. It was here, at Poison Cove, that a number of his crew members became ill after eating tainted mussels for breakfast.
