Muchalat Inlet


Muchalat Inlet (49˚39'00" 126˚14'00" Extends E from the E side of Nootka Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Named after the Muchalaht people, who are a branch of the Nuu-chah-nulth cultural group. The Muchalaht are “those who live beside the Muchalee R”; Muchalee is believed to be the original Nuu-chah-nulth name for the Gold R valley.
