Mount Plowden


Mount Plowden (50˚58'14" 126˚27'18" Near E entrance to Wakeman Sd, Kingcome Inlet, NE of Port McNeill), Plowden Bay (49˚32'00" 123˚28'00" W side of Howe Sd, N of Woolridge I, NW of Vancouver). After Henry Claude Plowden (1867–1943), who pre-empted land beside the bay and received a Crown grant in 1917. A landing at his property became a Union Steamship port of call. Plowden Bay was later the site of a logging camp.
