Mount Ozzard


Mount Ozzard (48˚58'00" 125˚29'00" E of Ucluelet Inlet, NW side of Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). James William Ozzard (d 1902) was secretary to Rear Adm Sir Thomas Maitland, cdr-in-chief on the Pacific Station, 1860–62, with his flag on HMS Bacchante. Ozzard had the rank of paymaster in 1845 and was promoted to chief paymaster in 1872.
