Mount Oldfield


Mount Oldfield (54˚18'12" 130˚17'10" NE side of Kaien I, just S of Prince Rupert). RN officer Radulphus Bryce Oldfield, CB (1827–77), served on the Pacific Station, 1866–67, as capt of HMS Malacca. In 1847 he had sailed with Capt Henry Keppel in HMS Maeander and participated in the campaign by the first Rajah of Sarawak, Sir James Brooke, to suppress piracy in the Borneo region.
