Mount Cardin


Mount Cardin (53˚01'05" 129˚05'12" S side of Barnard Hbr, NW side of Princess Royal I). Canadian politician Pierre Joseph Arthur Cardin (1879–1946) was born 
at Sorel, Que. He trained as a lawyer and was elected Liberal MP for the riding of Richelieu, 1911–46. Cardin served in the cabinets of PM Mackenzie King as minister of Marine and Fisheries, 1924–30, minister of Public Works, 1935–42, and minister of Transport, 1940–42.
