Morris Rocks


Morris Rocks (50˚18'00" 127˚52'00" NW of Heater Point, Klaskino Inlet, SE of Quatsino Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). John Morris (b 1847), a native of Wales, first set off to sea at the age of 19. He immigrated to Victoria and joined the pelagic sealing fleet, working first as master of the Black Diamond (in 1881) and later serving as capt of the Onward and Alfred Adams. He also worked out of Seattle on the schooner Seventy-Six.
